Google Announces the Roll-Out of New Features for its NotebookLM Multi-Lingual Users: Video Overviews in 80 Supported Languages and Short & Default Length Controls for Non-English Audio Overviews

After bringing a major update for the NotebookLM mobile app last week, Google is planning to roll-out new features for its NotebookLM multi-lingual users. The roll-out will be taking place this week and these new features are aimed to get rid of language barriers.

NotebookLM – New Features Rolling Out This Week

As mentioned, Google’s NotebookLM introduced its Video Overviews as a feature that will help in transforming notes, documents, and more into narrated slide presentations and this was initially offered in only English. Now, with the new feature update, Google will be expanding its language support, and it will be accessible in all 80 supported languages. Thus, more global users will be able to benefit with NotebookLM’s Video Overviews.

The second feature that will be rolling out soon is the Short & Default length controls for non-English Audio Overviews. While this is also a previously available feature, its capability will be improved with the new feature update. From short and highlight-focused summaries, non-English Audio Overviews can now be accessed as full-length and more comprehensive summaries, enabling other language users to get a deeper understanding. Also, while they are in a hurry, they can still access the short Audio Overviews relying on the length controls.
