The California-based tech maker – Google has now introduced its Gemini 2.5 Flash Image (AKA ‘nano-banana’) as its state-of-the-art image generation and editing model, featuring improved capabilities and higher quality. This latest model has also now been made available to developers and enterprises.

Check out more about it below.

Gemini 2.5 Flash Image – Officially Introduced

The Gemini 2.5 Flash Image has been introduced following the launch of the Gemini 2.0 Flash early this year and unlike the Gemini 2.0 Flash which focused on offering low latency, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use, the Gemini 2.5 Flash Image brings to users more powerful creative capabilities and higher quality outputs. With the Gemini 2.5 Flash, users will be able to blend multiple images and make it into a single image; allows users to maintain better character consistency; add targeted transformations relying on natural language; and rely on Gemini’s knowledge to both generate and edit images.

Speaking more about its features, in addition to character consistency, a single character/product can be placed in different scenarios, be pictured in different angles, and also preserve brand assets with better accuracy. Furthermore, it is also capable of adhering to visual templates. The prompt-based image editing brings added capabilities too, letting users perform actions like blurring imaging backgrounds, removing issues/people from images, altering the subject pose, and adding color to Black and White photos. Multi-image fusion is another capability that lets users add a particular object to a scene or setting. Most importantly, the knowledge from Gemini also provides Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash Image with better semantic and intellectual capabilities as well.

As mentioned, the Gemini 2.5 Flash Image is now available to developers and enterprises, via the Gemini API and Google AI Studio (~ currently in preview, will be made stable in coming weeks) for developers, and via the vertex AI for enterprises. Regarding the price, it is priced at USD 30.00 for 1 million output tokens (each image is 1290 output tokens, USD 0.039 for an image).
