Elon Musk officially introduces Grokipedia, an AI-powered online encyclopedia; Serves as a direct competition to Wikipedia

Wikipedia- the online encyclopedia that is used by many users around the world for queries and information on different topics. Well, Elon Musk has now introduced a direct competitor of Wikipedia, called Grokipedia.

As we know, Wikipedia relies on its human volunteer community for the latest information, but Grokipedia is said to deliver faster and bias-free information with the help of AI. Grokipedia is powered by the language model Grok. Musk has announced that Grokipedia version 0.1 is now live and is claimed to be better than Wikipedia already.

xAI is also revealed to be working on Grokipedia version 1.0, which is said to be 10x better than version 0.1. As of now, the platform currently includes 885,279 articles, and it is said that users will soon be able to ask Grok to add/modify/delete articles, and it will either take the action or tell you why it can’t.

Grokipedia is fully open source, so anyone can use it at no cost. Reportedly, some of the results on the new platform appear to be adapted from Wikipedia. When Musk started criticising Wikipedia, a X user questioned about Grok using Wikipedia pages, to which Musk replied that this would be fixed by the end of the year.

Grokipedia is still under development, and it is said that soon, more advanced features and capabilities will be introduced on the platform to give an improved experience to users.
