Comet Agentic Browser Now Available in India to All Perplexity Pro Subscribers on Desktop

After its initial debut back in July 2025, Perplexity has now made its Comet agentic browser available in India. However, at the moment, it is only accessible to Perplexity Pro subscribers – only on the desktop.

Perplexity’s Comet Agentic Browser Now Available in India on Desktop

While it was being said that the Comet agentic browser mobile version will soon be coming for Android users, it is still listed for pre-registration in the country and ahead of its availability, Perplexity has made its desktop version available on macOS and Windows. It is currently accessible to Perplexity Pro subscribers, and those who use the free tier version won’t be able to access it.

Speaking more, the launch of Comet took place today on the 22nd of September 2025 in India, and the brand’s native web browser makes use of the same AI models that is there on the Perplexity AI platform itself. Notably, there is an AI-powered side bar within the Comet browser, and it will be able to help its users with general queries. To note, this capability is not just bound to a single tab but can work across multiple open tabs and users will be able to make comparisons and clarifications much more easily and effectively.

Additionally, agentic capabilities are also supported by the side bar and thus, users will be able to ask it to perform needed functions (like buying a product or sharing a web page in email format). In the coming days, more new features are also revealed to arrive on Perplexity’s Comet browser.
