Claude in Excel now available for Pro plans

Previously, access to Claude in Excel was given to beta users for Pro Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. It is now officially announced that Claude in Excel is now made available for Pro plans.

When you work on Excel, Claude can be opened on the side. Claude now accepts multiple files via drag and drop. It avoids overwriting your existing cells and handles longer sessions with auto-compaction.

Users can ask questions about their workbook and get answers with cell-level citations. Claude in Excel brings the power of Opus 4.5 directly into Excel via a sidebar chat that can help you understand and edit your spreadsheets, as can be seen in the above-posted video.

Claude will understand your entire workbook- from nested formulas to multiple tab dependencies, and it updates your assumptions while preserving formulas. It also helps you debug and fix errors with clear explanations. It offers transparency and visibility, maintains Excel model structure and formatting, and works within your existing compliance framework.

You can use Control+Option+C on Mac and Control+Alt+C on Windows to open Claude in Excel. The individual Pro plan is priced at $17 per month with an annual subscription discount. Navigate complex models, test different scenarios quickly, build models, or fill existing templates in Excel with the help of Claude.
