Samsung’s Exynos 2600 Processor – Now Official
The newly-unveiled Exynos 2600 processor has been introduced as the very first in the industry to be made using the 2nm GAA process, and it has been teased with the tagline – ‘Express the exceptional’. Furthermore, thanks to its powerful CPU, NPU, and GPU combination, an enhanced AI and gaming experience has also been promised with it. The generative AI performance has been improved by 113%, whereas the 50% improved ray tracing performance and the Exynos Neural Super Sampling (ENSS) technology assures better gaming. Better power efficiency is also claimed on the device. For an enhanced heat dissipation, Heat Path Block (HPB) and High-k EMC are also brought, along with 16% lower thermal resistance.
Speaking more, this processor features a deca-core architecture (Arm v9.3) equipped with a 3.8GHz-clocked C1 Ultra core, three 3.25GHz-clocked C1 Pro cores, and six 2.75GHz-clocked C1 Pro cores, and it is also integrated with Samsung’s Xclipse 960 GPU. Up to 39% CPU performance improvement is there as per the brand. Its Scalable Matrix Extension 2 (SME2) support also brings increased AI computational efficiency and processing speed. The AI engine with 32K MAC NPU is also a notable spec, and it comes with support for LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
On the camera side, it can support 64MP + 32MP dual cameras, 108MP @30fps single camera, and 320MP single camera (the maximum). Also, 8K 30fps encoding and 8K 60fps decoding are supported too. The support for HEVC (H.265), H.264, VP9, AV1, and APV codecs are also there on the latest Exynos 2600 chip. An AI-based Visual Perception System (VPS), 50% reduced power consumption while using camera, and Deep Learning Video Noise Reduction (DVNR) are its other added camera-related specs. As already known, the next Galaxy S26 series of Samsung is believed to be the first to feature the Exynos 2600 processor.
