Portronics launches Lithius Cell, USB-C rechargeable lithium-ion battery series in India

India’s leading consumer technology brand, Portronics, has today introduced its Lithius Cell, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery series available in AA and AAA variants. These batteries are said to be designed for effortless, sustainable, and long-lasting performance.

Portronics launches new Lithius Cell battery series

The batteries arrive with a built-in USB-C charging port that eliminates the need for external chargers or docks. Lithius Cell delivers a stable 1.5V output, ensuring reliable performance for home and office devices. Each cell features a smart LED indicator that blinks during charging and turns steady when fully charged.

The series features a leak-proof reinforced shell that can withstand pressure without bursting. It includes multi-layer protection such as short-circuit prevention, over-voltage resistance, surge protection, overheating control, and over-discharge security. This design ensures the longevity of both the battery and the device it powers. The cells also maintain charge during long resting periods.

There are two variants: Lithius Cell AAA variant has a capacity of 440mAh (666mWh), and Lithius Cell AA variant has a capacity of 1480mAh (2220mWh)/

Portronics Lithius Cell AAA USB-C Rechargeable Lithium-ion battery (pair) is priced at Rs 499, while the Lithius Cell AA USB-C Rechargeable Lithium-ion battery (pair) is priced at Rs 449. The batteries are available for purchase through the Portronics official website, leading e-commerce platforms, and select offline retail stores.
