Here are the details
MediaTek Dimensity 7100: Features & Specs
The chipset offers up to 5% more power efficiency in apps, up to 23% more power-efficient modem, and up to 16% more power-efficient multimedia playback when compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC.
It comprises four Arm Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.4GHz, and four Arm Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. It is paired with the ARM Mali-G610 GPU. The chipset arrives with support for LPDDR5 at 5500 Mbps/ LPDDR4x at 4266 Mbps, and UFS 3.1 storage. There is also support for up to a 200MP camera sensor with advanced HDR video using DCG/DAG technology. Features such as multi-frame noise reduction (MFNR) and hardware-accelerated face detection provide fast autofocus.
It offers 6x faster FD performance and 10x AF detection camera compared to competitor alternative processors. The Dimensity 7100 supports 10-bit color depth and ultra-sharp details with Full HDR (HDR10/HLG/HDR10+/ HDR vivid) media support. It supports up to 1200×2600 display resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate.
With downlink speeds of up to 3.3Gbps and support for carrier aggregation across mixed duplex FDD and TDD combinations, users can enjoy exceptional performance and broader coverage. For device OEMs, the 3GPP Release-16 5G modem enables a single smartphone design for global markets. The MediaTek 5G UltraSave 3.0+ combines a complete set of Release-16 power-saving enhancements, plus MediaTek’s proprietary optimisations, together deliver up to 30% greater power efficiency.
The chipset comes with support for WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GNSS (GPS L1CA+L5, BeiDou B1l+B2a, Glonass L1OF, Galileo E1+E5a, QZSS L1CB+ NavIC L5+N1, NavIC), and 1TIR WiFi Antenna.
The smartphone brands are expected to soon introduce smartphones powered by this all-new chipset.
