Last year, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also mentioned that the company was looking to “revisit” the conventional wisdom that consoles and PCs are separate entities.
It appears that Microsoft wants its next console to function more like a gaming PC. Reports indicate that Project Helix could be released in late 2027, though there can be changes made in the release timeline depending on the development of the next-gen console.
At the upcoming GDC next week, deeper insights related to this new console are expected to be officially revealed by the company, while some new leaks may also surface related to the new console.
