Wondering what Renown is? In the Rainbow Six Siege game, Renown is the primary in-game currency used to unlock operators, weapon skins, and other customization items, while Renown progression is tied to gameplay and can be boosted by completing daily and weekly challenges, playing ranked matches, and using renown boosters.

The company has revealed that Siege X, XP, Battle Pass, and Renown systems have been refreshed to give players more ways to earn rewards: through new Daily Renown Challenges, increased payouts for Battle Pass Challenges, and Clearance Levels that are more rewarding and frequent. While match completion rewards have been adjusted with these in mind, the Renown earned over a season will remain very similar.
The company has revealed that additional updates and optimizations will be coming in the future, too. For instance, when leveling up, the Renown you’re awarded isn’t highlighted in the After Action Report, so they will be working towards making moments like this more apparent.
