PlayStation Reveals FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick

Sony has announced that its upcoming wireless fight stick controller, previously known as Project Defiant, will be named “FlexStrike.” This is PlayStation’s first official fight stick made for fighting games on PS5 and PC. Sony initially announced Project Defiant during its June 2025 State of Play event, introducing the concept of a wireless fight stick designed in-house by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Features
The FlexStrike wireless fight stick can connect either wirelessly with PlayStation Link technology or with a wired USB-C cable. The FlexStrike has switch buttons, a custom digital stick, and restrictor gates that can be swapped without tools in square, circle, or octagon shapes. These gates control how the stick moves, which affects moves like quarter-circles. The controller also features all the standard DualSense buttons, a touchpad, a lever mode switch for directional controls, and a lock button to prevent accidental presses during matches.
The FlexStrike is designed to be comfortable, with angled surfaces and a non-slip base to keep it steady while you play. It has built-in storage for the restrictor gates and the PlayStation Link USB adapter. The rechargeable battery means you do not need to plug it into an external power source. You can connect two FlexStrike controllers at the same time using one PlayStation Link adapter, which lets you play local multiplayer games. You can also use PlayStation Link-compatible audio devices, like the Pulse Elite headset or Pulse Explore earbuds, for audio and voice chat.

Availability and Pricing
The FlexStrike wireless fight stick is scheduled for release in 2026, though Sony has not provided a specific launch date or pricing information. The controller will be displayed for the first time at Evo 2025 in Las Vegas from August 1-3 at the Fight Stick Museum and Arc System Works booth. You can sign up for updates about pricing and availability through PlayStation FlexStrike.
While there is no official confirmation regarding its availability in India, the fact that a microsite for the product is live on the PlayStation India website suggests it may be released in the region.
