PlayStation Plus Adds Cyberpunk 2077, Abiotic Factor, and More to July 2025 Game Catalog
The PlayStation Plus Game Catalog update for July 2025, which includes titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Abiotic Factor, and Planet Zoo: Console Edition, is now available to subscribers of the Extra and Premium tiers.
Headlining the July Game Catalog: Cyberpunk 2077
In July, one of the biggest offerings in the catalog is Cyberpunk 2077, the open‑world sci‑fi role‑playing game from CD Projekt Red. It was launched poorly but has since revamped itself a number of times, and critics have widely praised the story, the performance, and how story decisions affect branching gameplay. Night City is filled with mega‑corporations and mercenaries with cybernetic enhancements. The player takes on the role of V – a character created by the player that can be customised – who is either suicidal or has a dark past and is navigating the streets of Night City.
With first‑person combat, hacking elements, and consequential takeaways from player choices, Cyberpunk 2077 represents an experience that is expansive and truly immersive.
More Titles Now Available (or Coming Soon)
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (Available July 15)
A narrative‑driven action RPG exploring love, loss, and the supernatural. In 17th‑century North America, you play as two ghost hunters who are lovers stuck between their duty and their emotions. You will go against various spectral threats and make gut‑wrenching moral choices. With cinematic storytelling and purposeful action, Banishers is an engaging journey into a magical, emotionally complex world.
Planet Zoo: Console Edition (Available July 15)
You are now managing the ultimate wildlife park with depth and detail in this zoo simulation game. From custom‑designed habitats to endangered animals and satisfied guests, Planet Zoo allows you the total flexibility to care for a vibrant living world. The original PC version was a great success – the console edition offers the same experience for a broader audience with advanced controls and optimised performance.
Abiotic Factor (Available July 22)
If cooperation and survival are your jam, make sure to check out Abiotic Factor. Set in a top‑secret research facility teeming with bizarre anomalies and threats, players take on the role of scientists trapped in the facility, trying to survive. Players will gather resources, craft tools, build defences, and work together, first to make sense of what went wrong, and then how to escape. With multiplayer co‑op, it’s ideal for teaming up with friends in unpredictable and visceral situations.
Other Titles Added in July: Bluey, Risk of Rain 2 & Tropico 6
The lineup grew even further on July 15 with three more games added to the collection for Extra and Premium members.
Bluey: The Videogame brings family‑friendly, interactive fun to kids and parents based on the hit children’s show and is perfect for younger players or older players who are fans.
Risk of Rain 2 is a frenetic action game and the only roguelike experience to date involving battling alien worlds and playing solo or co‑op. You can find endless combinations of gear to experiment with, but don’t lose track of having to fight your way through some brutal boss battles.
And finally, if you’ve ever fantasised about ruling your own island, in Tropico 6, you manage your own banana republic, expand to new islands in the archipelago, build custom buildings, and utilise satirical humour mixed in with deeper political simulation.
