Krafton India releases BGMI 4.0 update with Spooky Soiree mode, various performance improvements and optimizations

Krafton India has recently released the BGMI 4.0 update that focuses on game performance, optimization, and more with various improvements.

The Super Smooth graphics option is now available for all devices. This setting is said to reduce la by 50%, improve device cooling, and lower CPU/GPU load by 10%. The update also brings FPS optimization, a 20% drop in game stuttering, technical upgrades like map terrain changes, expanded device support for Extreme+ (90FPS) and Ultra Extreme+ (120FPS) modes, file system tweaks, and improved memory allocation. The update also reduces the overall download size through optimization.

BGMI 4.0 update comes with the new Spooky Soiree themed mode, featuring a location called Wraithmoor Mansion. It introduces a host companion called ghostie, which can be used in combat as a parachute, shield, or helmet to protect players, and it can also heal them. Players who die in-game enter a host state, in which they can use a ghost bomb to explode near enemies or reveal enemy positions to teammates.

A mortar weapon is coming for long-range attacks, along with a special training camp, while a new mode called Unfail is also added. Players can be either a Hunter or a Survivor. They can collect tokens and use them in the Diwali Spin to earn in-game cosmetics. A new hot drop location called Stepwell is being added to the Erangel map. Update 4.0 also brings collaborations, and two supercar skins are also coming with the update.
