Here is more to it.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra – Photography Kit Confirmed

Now, in a post on X, Xiaomi India has officially confirmed that both kits will also be launching in India on the same day as the Xiaomi 17 Series. However, they will carry slightly different names in India — the slim/lightweight version will be called the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit, while the Professional Imaging Kit will be known as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit Pro Version.

Specs and Features of the Lightweight Photography Kit and the Professional Imaging Kit (Chinese Version)
Both kits carry an IP54 dust and splash resistance rating. Looking at the weight, the Slim/Lightweight version weighs just 48g, while the Professional Imaging Kit is slightly heavier at around 82g. In terms of battery, the Slim version comes with a 270mAh battery with magnetic contact charging and connects via Bluetooth. However, the Professional Imaging Kit features a larger 2000mAh battery (1950mAh minimum capacity) and supports 90W wired fast charging via Type-C, along with up to 30W wireless charging even while attached. Furthermore, the Professional Imaging Kit connects through Type-C and includes multiple functional expansion ports for accessories such as filter adapters and other official photography add-ons.
In the Slim Photography Kit, users get a two-stage shutter button that supports half-press focus and full-press shooting, along with a customisable key and a dedicated street photography mode. On the other hand, the Professional Imaging Kit introduces advanced physical controls, including a detachable two-stage shutter button, a zoom lever, customisable function buttons, and a “Master Change Ring” that allows users to adjust aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and exposure compensation directly from the grip.
Regarding pricing, in China, the standard kit costs 376.21 CNY (approximately ₹5,001.48) and comes in three colour options: Black, White, and Cold Smoky Silver. The Pro Version Kit is available in Black and Off-white, with a price tag of 996.21 CNY (approximately ₹13,244.70). Now, it remains to be seen how Xiaomi will price these kits for the Indian market.
