Vivo Vision MR headset officially unveiled in China

The Chinese manufacturer Vivo has today officially introduced its Vivo Vision Explorer Edition MR headset in its home country, China.

Vivo Vision Explorer Edition: Features

This headset features a 3D geometric mirror on the front, while a floating micro slit design conceals functional modules. It weighs 398g, comes with an 83mm body height, and 40mm body thickness. The headset accurately locates the golden comfort zone of the face and contains a ring strap. It sports a binocular Micro-OLED color screen that offers dual 8K HD resolution and 94% DCI-P3. Custom magnetic lenses are available for nearsighted users, ranging from 100 to 1000 degrees.

It is equipped with Origin OS Vision, features 1.5-degree high-precision eye tracking, along with 26 degrees of freedom micro-gesture recognition and 175-degree vertical range, for a natural and precise eye-hand interaction experience. The device offers immersive dome video paired with spatial audio. You can enjoy mobile giant screen cinema, as with a simple tap, the screen repositions itself directly in front of you. It also supports multi-device flash viewing.

Vivo Vision Explorer Edition is powered by the 2nd-generation Snapdragon XR2+ platform. It supports live streaming of games, and users can also freely switch viewing angles, with real-time display of game data and information on the left and right large screens. Spatial videos and photos captured with Vivo phones can be viewed on the headset. It also supports reproducing panoramic long photos captured on mobile phones.

The headset exclusively features two MR casual entertainment titles, Table Drum Master and Little Vs Journey, offering a blend of virtual and real entertainment. You can also cast PC and mobile games, watch ED esports matches with gestures to rotate and move the sandbox. Flexible multi-window workstations allow you to simultaneously display documents and meetings. It offers full-color transparency and latency as low as 13ms.

Immersive viewing from multiple perspectives, space photo album, panoramic long view, complete spatial imaging ecological chain, high-quality creation, and immersive replay are some of the other features.

Vivo has also revealed that in the future, users will also be able to experience features like seamless image transfer and the Blue Heart V app. Integration with the mobile app will also be promoted, allowing users to install and use mobile apps directly on the headset.

Using this headset with Vivo X200 Ultra, you can enjoy a seamless cross-device imaging experience, space photo shoot, and 60fps spatial video recording.

Vivo Vision Explore Edition is now available for pre-order at 12 officially authorized Vivo Experience stores in over 10 cities. Starting tomorrow, it will be officially open for an offline experience. A second batch of offline experience stores will be opened later.
