Yesterday, the South Korean tech giant Samsung officially unveiled its Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic smartwatches at its Galaxy Unpacked event.
Galaxy Watch 8 & Galaxy Watch 8 Classic: Specs
Both the smartwatches run on One UI 8.0 Watch. They feature Super AMOLED displays with 327ppi density and 3000 nits peak brightness. They are equipped with an Exynos W100 chip and have a MIL-STD-810H standard and an IP68 rating. They feature a Samsung BioActive sensor, accelerometer, barometer, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, light sensor, and temperature sensor. Connectivity options include- LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, dual frequency GPS, dual band WiFi, and NFC.
Health-related features include- heart rate monitoring, ECG tracking, sleep analysis, stress monitoring, body composition tracking, blood pressure monitoring, vascular load monitoring, running coach, AI-powered energy score, and Antioxidant Index monitoring.
Galaxy Watch 8 comes in 40mm and 44mm dial options. The 40mm variant features a 1.34-inch screen with 438×438 pixels resolution, while the 44mm variant features a 1.47-inch screen with 480×480 pixels resolution. It has an aluminum build with Sapphire glass coating. It offers 32GB storage and 2GB RAM. The 40mm variant features a 325mAh battery, weighs 30g, while the 44mm variant features a 435mAh battery and weighs 34g.
Galaxy Watch 8 Classic comes in a single 46mm dial option. It features a 1.34-inch display with a 438×438 pixels resolution. It has a stainless steel casing with a Sapphire glass coating. It offers 64GB storage and 2GB RAM. It features a Quick button that allows users to access features or launch an app with a few clicks. There is a rotating bezel that allows users to navigate through the UI and a 3D hall sensor. It packs a 445mAh battery. It weighs 63.5g.

Galaxy Watch 8 comes in Graphite and Silver colors, while Galaxy Watch 8 Classic comes in Black and White colors.
