Oppo Watch X3 with 1.5″ LTPO OLED Flexible Display, Snapdragon W5 Chipset, and Sapphire Glass Launched in China

Oppo has announced the successor to the Watch X2 in its home market, China, called the Watch X3. This same smartwatch is also expected to launch globally soon, not just as the Watch X3 but also as the OnePlus Watch 4.

Here is more to it:

Oppo Watch X3 – Specs and Features

Talking about the build, both the case and the bezels are made of TC4 titanium alloy, with the bottom shell made of PA fibre. This, as per Oppo, has made the smartwatch 16% lighter (43 grams without straps / 70 grams with Infinite Titanium strap) compared to the previous generation stainless steel models.

It is launched with two types of straps, one is fluororubber, while the other is a hybrid fluororubber strap, which has a premium “bamboo joint” segmented design that offers a more flexible, breathable feel. The former is offered in a single colour called Gravity Black, while the latter is available in Infinite Titanium and Cosmic Orange.

It has a 1.5″ LTPO OLED flexible display with sapphire glass (Mohs hardness >8) and offers a typical brightness of 600 nits, which can reach up to 1500 nits in strong sunlight. But under the sports mode, the brightness level can hit 3000 nits.

Oppo Watch X3- China Specs

Speaking about the hardware, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chipset, but whether it is Gen 1 or Gen 2 has not been revealed. For reference, the previous Watch X2 came with the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1. It features 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage space and runs on ColorOS Watch 16.0. However, as per EMVCo certification, once it is launched globally, this will come with WearOS 6.

With IP69, IP68, and 5ATM ratings, the Oppo Watch X3 can withstand high-pressure water jets and deep submersion. Having a 646mAh battery, the watch is claimed to give up to 3 days of backup under heavy usage, 5 days under smart mode, and 16 days under long battery life mode. With 7.5W charging power, the watch can be charged to 100% in 75 minutes. Further, Oppo claims that the watch can give 24 hours of backup with just a 10-minute charge.

This watch offers dual-system pairing, meaning it supports connecting to both Android (10.0+) and iOS (14.0+) devices at the same time. Connectivity-wise, it supports eSIM, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC (access cards, public transport cards, car keys), and WLAN 2.4G/5G.

Other features include over 2000 watch faces, gesture control, Xiaobu Voice Assistant, Fluid Cloud support for ColorOS phones, and app installation support.
