Last year, Oakley and Meta collaborated to introduce Oakley Meta HSTN AI glasses in the Indian market, and now the two companies have once again come together to launch Oakley Meta Vanguard AI glasses, which are designed for athletes.
Oakley Meta Vanguard AI Glasses: Features
The AI glasses are built for high-intensity sports with an action-ready camera, integration with fitness apps, immersive audio to elevate workouts and more.
Coming to its design, the AI glasses feature Oakley’s Three-Point Fit system with three replaceable nose pads, including low and high-bridge options. The frames are engineered to work seamlessly with cycling helmets, hats, and arrive with an IP67 dust and water resistance rating. The glasses come with Wraparound Oakley PRIZM Lens technology that enhances contrast, amplifies colours, and makes subtle details stand out while shielding the eyes.
If we talk about the features, Meta AI syncs with Garmin and top fitness apps to help athletes. Users can track progress, stay locked on goals, and get performance summaries in the Meta AI app. The glasses can also light up the status LED in peripheral vision, allowing users to see at a glance if they are on target for metrics like heart rate or pace.
These AI glasses offer up to 9 hours of use and 6 hours of continuous audio playback time. The included charging case provides an additional 36 hours, while with the help of the quick charge feature, the glasses can be charged up to 50% in just 20 minutes. The 12MP camera with a 122-degree wide-angle lens records up to 3K resolution with slow motion, hyperlapse and adjustable stabilisation for pro-level playback and analysis.
Oakley Meta Vanguard allows users to capture record-setting rides from their own perspective, completely hands-free. The open-ear speakers on these glasses are 6dB louder than the Oakley Meta HSTN. A five-array microphone is also included, which is optimised to reduce wind noise while on calls, messaging, or voice interaction with Meta AI.
Users can now select Hindi as their preferred language in the Meta AI app. For your AI Assistant, you can select from various recognisable celebrities’ voices, including Deepika Padukone. The glasses support hands-free voice interactions and Hindi language support in UPI Lite payments.
