Xiaomi Pad 8 with 11.2″ 3.2K Display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, 9,200mAh Battery Announced in India

Finally, the Xiaomi Pad 8 has been launched in India after the launch date was changed several times. Meanwhile, Xiaomi is also set to announce the Xiaomi 17 series smartphones in India tomorrow.

Xiaomi Pad 8 – Specs and Features

In India, the Xiaomi Pad 8 has been introduced in two variants: a standard model and a Nano Texture Display edition. The latter is the soft display version that was previously launched in China. Both variants share the same specifications, with the only difference being the AG+AR (anti-glare and anti-reflective) technology on the Nano Texture Display edition, which helps reduce glare and reflections while being designed to remain eye-friendly. It features an 11.2-inch 3.2K ImmersiView display with a 345ppi pixel density, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 800 nits of HBM brightness. The display also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

With 5.75mm in thickness and weighing 485g, Xiaomi claims it is India’s slimmest flagship Android tablet in the price segment below ₹40,000. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC and supports LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, with an AnTuTu score claimed to exceed 2 million. The device runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3, which supports cross-device connectivity and integration with macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. Xiaomi has also confirmed 4 Major OS upgrades with 6 years of Android Security Patch updates with this tablet.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 packs a 9,200mAh battery with support for 45W Turbo Charging. The box also includes a 67W fast charger that can be used with other compatible devices, such as tablets and laptops. The tablet includes Xiaomi HyperAI features such as AI Writing, Xiaomi AI Creation, and Live AI Subtitles, along with a Workstation Mode designed for multitasking. The Xiaomi Pad 8 is available in Graphite Grey and Titanium Blue colour options.

Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi Pad 8 has been launched in two memory options of 8GB/128GB at ₹33,999 and 12GB/256GB at ₹35,999. While the Nano Texture Display version is launched in a single memory option of 12GB/256GB, which is priced at ₹38,999.

As part of the launch offer, buyers can get an up to ₹3,000 instant discount on SBI credit cards and credit card EMI transactions. Further, it can also be purchased through no-cost EMI starting at ₹3,445 per month for nine months.

Moving on to the accessories, the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro is priced at ₹5,999, while the Xiaomi Pad 8 Focus Keyboard costs ₹8,999. There is also a Xiaomi Pad 8 Keyboard, priced at ₹4,999. Xiaomi is also offering a ₹1,000 bundle discount when purchasing the Xiaomi Pad 8 together with the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro and the Xiaomi Pad 8 Keyboard.

Both the tablet and its accessories will go on sale starting March 17th via Amazon India, mi.com, and Xiaomi retail stores. And those who buy this tablet between March 17th and March 31st will get 1 year of additional warranty.
