Xiaomi Pad 8 series officially confirmed to launch this month in China: Could be introduced alongside Xiaomi 17 series

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi will be unveiling its latest Xiaomi 17 series in the Chinese market this month, and the series will include Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max models. The company has also recently teased that the Xiaomi 17 Pro series will feature a new Magic Back Screen.

Well, it appears that Xiaomi has some more surprises planned for its Chinese consumers as the brand has officially confirmed that it will be launching the Xiaomi Pad 8 series this month in China.

The launch date is not officially confirmed, but we may expect the Xiaomi Pad 8 series to launch alongside the Xiaomi 17 smartphone series. The pre-reservation for the Xiaomi Pad 8 series has already started in China. Interested consumers can pre-reserve the upcoming tablet with 1 Yuan. Pre-reservation benefits include- Xiaomi Type-C wired earphones and Tencent video monthly card member (limited to 2500 copies).

The Xiaomi Pad 8 series is expected to include Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro models. Recently, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro tablet was spotted on the Geekbench database, which revealed that the device will arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor (standard version with 2x 4.32GHz-clocked cores + 6x 3.53GHz-clocked cores), Android 16 operating system (with HyperOS 3 on top) out of the box, 16GB RAM variant, and Adreno 830 GPU

It has also been reported that Xiaomi’s Pad 8 Pro tablet will have the codename – ‘piano/P81’, while the vanilla Xiaomi Pad 8 is pointed out to have the codename – ‘yupei/P82’. The same report also suggested that while the pro model will be using a flagship Snapdragon processor, the vanilla model is likely going to equip a mid-range Snapdragon chip (just like their predecessors).
