At the start, the first poster for the Xiaomi Pad 8 that went live on Amazon showed a launch date of March 12th. Later, a new confirmation suggested that it would launch alongside the global launch event. However, during the global launch event, the India launch date for both the Xiaomi Pad 8 and the Xiaomi 17 series was changed to March 11th.
Now, the launch date has been changed once again, but this time it has been preponed to March 10th. This is just a day ahead of the Xiaomi 17 Series launch in India. According to Xiaomi, the change was made due to the “overwhelmingly positive response and high demand”.
Talking about the specifications, most of them have already been confirmed through the microsites on Amazon India and Xiaomi India.
In India, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is expected to arrive in two variants — a standard version and another with a nano-textured finish. In terms of specifications, it features a similar spec sheet to the global and China variants. The tablet comes with an 11.2″ 3.2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC paired with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. It packs a 9,200mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. For cameras, it includes a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
