Xiaomi India Teases Launch of a New Device, Could Be the Xiaomi Pad 8

Update as of 20 February 2026: We may have missed a key detail in the X post by Xiaomi India. The company wrote, “We’ve redefined the tablet category, but we’re not stopping there,” which could be a teaser for the Xiaomi Pad 8 India launch rather than a new Xiaomi laptop. Another tipster, Kartikey Singh, has also confirmed that this teaser is for the Xiaomi Pad 8. Moreover, the exact details will be revealed once the microsite goes live.
Since Xiaomi has already launched the Xiaomi Pad 8 in China, it is expected to arrive in India with the same set of specifications, as suggested by several global certifications. The Xiaomi Pad 8 features an 11.2-inch display with a 3.2K screen resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, 345ppi screen density, 800 nits peak brightness, full DC dimming, and TÜV Rheinland triple eye protection certification. The Soft Light Edition includes an AG nano-texture display with AR coating that reduces reflectivity by 70%.
It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and supports PC-level multitasking, a PC-level browser, and professional applications including WPS, CAD, and CAJ.
The tablet measures 5.75mm in thickness and weighs 485g. It supports accessories such as the Focus Touch Pen Pro and the Floating Keyboard.
It features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support, multiple microphones, and AI features. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The device comes with a USB Type-C port and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC and is backed by a 9,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

As stated above, this is the first teaser, so we are hoping that in the coming days, more details about this upcoming laptop will be revealed.
