Xiaomi 17 Ultra Scheduled to Debut on 25th December 2025 in China: Design Aspects, Color Choices, and Camera Specs Teased

Just recently, we came across the expected camera specs and other details concerning the Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone and following which, the brand has officially announced its Xiaomi x Leica Imaging Strategic Cooperation Upgrade and Xiaomi 17 Ultra New Product Launch event in China. It will be conducted in two days, and details concerning the design, color choices, and camera specs of the flagship smartphone have been teased.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra – Debuting in China on 25th December 2025
As earlier expected, Xiaomi’s 17 Ultra iterative camera flagship is now officially confirmed to debut on the 25th of December 2025 in the Chinese market at 7:00 PM local time, and in addition to the Black and White color variants, a new Starry Green color variant too will be offered. Segmented volume buttons, comfortable wraparound frame, miniaturized camera module, large-angle 2D flat screen, mineral particles for a starry finish (for Starry Green color), and an 8.29mm slim body are a few of its teased design aspects.
Speaking more, the Leica 1-inch light and shadow master sensor and the high dynamic range support for the main camera promises an enhanced night photography experience on the device, and the Leica-branded 200MP telephoto camera lens assures better optical zooming capability. This new camera system combination has also been teased as the ‘next-generation imaging system solution jointly developed by Xiaomi and Leica’.
Regarding the main camera, it equips the Light and Shadow Hunter 1050L image sensor, and supports the LOFIC ultra-high dynamic range technology. Thanks to these, the device will be capable of delivering accurate light and shadow details without overexposure.
For the telephoto camera, the industry’s first 75 ~ 100mm full 200MP optical output lens has been added, and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is the first mobile phone to receive the Leica APO optical certification. 3G+5P dual floating lens group is also among the key camera aspects of the device. Also, this camera lens is said to be a masterpiece of Xiaomi Leica optical miniaturization, and it claims full 200MP optical output across all zoom range, further boasting four golden portrait focal lengths (75mm, 85mm, 90mm, 100mm)

About its other expected specs, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, Android 16-based Xiaomi HyperOS 3 custom skin, improved 6000mAh ~ 7000mAh battery range, 100W wired fast charge support, and Leica teleconvertor camera kit may be offered for the device.
