Xiaomi 17 Ultra Global Launch Officially Announced – Coming in 2026; Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition Global Variant (25128PNA1G) Also Receives Singapore’s IMDA Certification
At its recently-held launch event, Xiaomi’s 17 Ultra and 17 Ultra Leica Edition smartphone models were introduced for Chinese customers and now, the official global launch of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone has also been announced. Additionally, the IMDA certification listing of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition has also suggested its arrival too for global customers.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra – To Hit the Global Market in 2026
This update comes from Xu Fei (VP and CMO of Xiaomi Group) and as per her X post, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has been announced to launch globally in 2026. In the teaser video shared, it has been added that together with Leica, the ‘all-new Xiaomi flagships’ with the brand’s latest optical breakthroughs are coming for global customers. Also, more teaser updates are said to be dropped soon by the brand concerning the latest Xiaomi flagships and their global launch.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition Global Variant (25128PNA1G) – IMDA Certification
As pointed out above, at the Xiaomi x Leica Imaging Strategic Cooperation Upgrade and Xiaomi 17 Ultra New Product Launch event that was held in China, along with the normal Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone (‘2512BPNDAC’ – Chinese variant), a Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition model (‘25128PNA1C’ – Chinese variant) featuring a rotatable camera ring was also introduced. With the model number of ‘25128PNA1G’, the global variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition (indicated by the ‘G’ in the model number) has received the IMDA certification, and the device has been categorized as a 5G mobile phone supporting Bluetooth, WiFi, and NFC connectivity.
Speaking more, in the recently-shared teaser video, it has been mentioned that the ‘all-new Xiaomi flagships’ are launching globally, meaning that both the normal and Leica edition of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone are coming to the global market, and this has further been re-iterated by the IMDA certification of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition. In related news, following the debut of the Xiaomi 17 series (Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max) that took place back in September 2025, the India launch of the Xiaomi 17 series was announced, and the standard Xiaomi 17 was confirmed to launch (nothing about the Xiaomi 17 series pro models’ global launch is known as of now*).
It could be possible that just like last time (in the Indian and global markets), Xiaomi may be planning to unveil the Xiaomi 17 model alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra models at the brand’s upcoming global launch event. However, we’ll have to wait before jumping into any conclusions, and the brand’s teasers that are expected to be shared over the next few days/weeks may confirm it.
