Xiaomi 17 Ultra confirmed to launch in China next week; Xiaomi Buds 6 and a new Xiaomi Watch also launching soon in China

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi was rumoured to soon introduce its Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone in its home country, China. And lately, new updates related to this device were surfacing online.
Today, Xiaomi has officially announced that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone will launch next week in China.

It is revealed that Xiaomi and Leica have upgraded their global imaging strategic partnership to a strategic co-creation model based on their successful joint R&D. The upcoming Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be the first masterpiece under this new cooperation model.
Both companies have together brought an epoch-making optical system solution, and the first Leica APO-certified telephoto lens in the imaging field, and this new optical capability will debut in the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone. Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone is revealed to offer improvement in the image quality at night with the help of a 1-inch main camera sensor and Leica-APO telephoto specifically built for mobile devices.
The microsite for this device has been made live on mi.com. Apart from this, Xiaomi China’s official website also reveals that the company will be launching Xiaomi Buds 6 and a new Xiaomi Watch(translated from Chinese to English) in the country soon.

If you recall, last month, Xiaomi Buds 6 were spotted on the UAE’s TDRA certification website, suggesting that the earbuds will be unveiled in the global markets as well. Previous reports suggest that Xiaomi could launch the Xiaomi 17 Ultra device around 26th December 2025 in China. In terms of specifications, the device is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and could feature a battery capacity ranging between 6,000mAh and 7,000mAh. It is suggested to support 100W wired charging.
On the camera side, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to include a 50MP main camera using the OmniVision OV50X 1-inch sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera based on the Samsung ISOCELL HP5, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Recently alleged spy shots of Xiaomi 17 Ultra also surfaced online.
