Xiaomi 17 Pro Series Officially Teased to Feature New Magic Back Screen Ahead of its Launch This Month
The next Xiaomi 17 series will be launching in the Chinese market this month and ahead of it, the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max smartphone models are both officially teased to come featuring the brand’s new Magic Back Screen.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Series – New Magic Back Screen Officially Teased
Last week, we had come across the first look images of the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max smartphone and just recently, another design render of this device was also leaked online. Via these updates, it was suggested that Xiaomi plans to bring back its rear display screen (which was previous seen in the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra), however something much more similar like the cover display of the Xiaomi Mix Flip foldables.
As per the new Xiaomi teaser update shared via its official Weibo handle, the brand is revealed to call this rear display screen its ‘Magic Back Screen’ and it has been teased for the Xiaomi 17 Pro series. This means, the Magic Back Screen will be featured not just on the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, but also on the Xiaomi 17 Pro smartphone model too. A teaser video for the same has also been shared, and it has confirmed all the design aspects that were revealed via the previous updates. Additionally, we are also able to spot antenna lines across flat side bezels (most likely metal) with rounded corners.
Xiaomi’s 17 series consisting of the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max smartphone models will be officially unveiled this month (September 2025) in the Chinese market, and all the three will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Furthermore, the pre-booking for this latest flagship series also went live in the Chinese market early this month.
