Vivo Y50i with 6.74-inch LCD HD+ display, Dimensity 6300 SoC, and 6,000mAh battery launched in China

Vivo has now launched the Vivo Y50i in its home country, China. It is basically a trimmed-down version of the already available Vivo Y50/Y50m.

It comes with a 6.74-inch LCD flat display offering an HD+ resolution. The panel supports up to a 90Hz refresh rate, 120Hz/180Hz touch sampling rate, and delivers up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. The display also comes with IP64-rated protection, TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification, True DC dimming, Paper-like mode, and Dark mode for eye comfort.

It has a plastic middle frame, weighs about 204g, and supports dual Nano SIM cards. Also, you will get a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Under the hood is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with the Mali-G57 GPU. In terms of memory and storage, you will get up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB eMMC 5.1 storage, running on OriginOS 5 based on Android 15.

You will also get AI-powered features via OriginOS 5, such as AI transcription for meetings, AI ID photo background replacement, AI circle search, AI study assistant, and AI erase. Additional safety and convenience features include one-click phone migration, fraud detection, and prevention of unauthorised apps or ads.

The rear sports a single 13MP camera that supports up to 10× digital zoom, with modes such as Night, Portrait, Panorama, Document correction, Slow motion, Time-lapse, Pro, and 1080p video recording. On the front, it has a 5MP selfie shooter with support for up to 2× digital zoom, Night and Portrait modes, and 1080p video recording.

It supports 150% Ultra-Loud Volume Mode along with Bluetooth 5.4 and audio codec support, including SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC.

Furthermore, it is equipped with a 6000mAh battery (rated at 5870mAh) featuring a single-cell design, supporting 15W charging. Interestingly, it comes bundled with a 44W charging kit, and also supports OTG reverse charging.

The Y50i features a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner along with Face Wake facial recognition.

The Vivo Y50i is available in three colour options: Diamond Black, Azure, and Platinum. It is offered in a single 6GB+128GB memory configuration, priced at 1,499 Chinese Yuan (approx. ₹18,598).
