Vivo Y500 5G Smartphone More Teasers Shared Ahead of its Official Debut: Low + High Temperature Battery Resistance and Waterproof Capabilities Revealed
Vivo’s upcoming Y-series smartphone model – the Vivo Y500 5G has been scheduled to make its official debut early next week in the Chinese market and over the past few days, the brand had teased a few of its notable key specs and features. Now, more new teaser updates have been shared, revealing more about the device’s features.

Vivo Y500 5G – Newly-Shared Teaser Updates
As per the new teasers, the Vivo Y500 5G smartphone which has already been revealed to pack a massive 8200 mAh Blue Ocean battery is pointed out to offer other features like stable battery life. With the semi-solid-state battery technology, the device will be offered resistance against low temperatures of -20°C and also battery life stability at up to 40°C. An IP69+ rated waterproof protection has also been teased for this smartphone, and users won’t have to worry when the device gets wet, spilled, washed, rinsed, and dropped in water. Additionally, the brand also notes that the Vivo Y500 5G is the most waterproof phone in the brand’s history.
As mentioned, the official launch of the Vivo Y500 5G will be taking place early next week in the Chinese market, on the 1st of September 2025. Apart from the above specs, the brand had also teased specs such as 3D panoramic audio and 90W wired fast charging. Also, on the Xiaobai battery life tests, the device was teased to have topped the charts.
Its appearance on the Geekbench and the China Telecom website have also revealed a few other notable features and these include the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, ARM Mali-G615 GPU, Android 15 OS, 12GB RAM, up to 512GB storage, 6.77″ 2392×1080 pixel resolution display, 50MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, 8MP selfie camera, and more. Three color variants have also been revealed for the device, and Chinese customers will be able to get the device in Glacier Blue, Basalt Black, and Dragon Crystal Purple colors. Also to add, while the launch will be taking place on the 1st, the sale is suggested to begin on the 5th of September 2025.
