Vivo Y400 5G with 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED 1,800 nits display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 launched in India
Vivo Y400 4G was launched just two days back in Bangladesh, and now Vivo Y400 5G has been launched in the Indian market. Both the 4G and the 5G variants share the same design language. Although Vivo Y400 5G has been announced in India, the open sale has not started yet. However, you can pre-book this smartphone via the official Vivo India website.
Vivo Y400 5G specs
It has a 6.67-inch (16.94cm) FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness, helping ensure content remains visible even in bright sunlight. The screen also includes an Eye Care Display certification for reduced blue light exposure.
Just like we reported, it is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 mobile platform with a 4nm manufacturing process and runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. It is available in two memory options: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Extended RAM support adds another 8GB as virtual RAM to improve multitasking. Storage compression technology assists in maximizing usable space. For better performance, it includes a dual-module cooling system with over 40,000mm² of cooling area.
The battery capacity is 6,000mAh, and it supports 90W FlashCharge, enabling a charge from 1% to 50% in about 20 minutes (as per vivo). AI-optimized sleep mode helps manage battery usage. Audio is handled by dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification and claimed volume output up to 400%.
The Y400 5G features a rear setup of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor, plus a 32MP front camera. Camera modes include Night, Portrait, Dual View, Underwater Photography, and more. Vivo Y400 5G is rated IP68 and IP69 for resistance to dust and water, and includes a speaker drain mechanism for underwater usage.
Security comes via an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, while software features such as AI Transcript Assist, AI Note Assist, and Circle to Search aim to boost everyday productivity. Connectivity options include dual SIM 5G support, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth, USB 2.0, and several satellite navigation systems.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo Y400 5G is priced at ₹21,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB variant is listed at ₹23,999. Further, Vivo is offering an instant discount on Credit Card EMI transactions of up to ₹2,000 with HDFC Bank. Vivo is also offering a ₹500 student discount, a ₹500 review voucher, and a complimentary 1-year extended warranty.
It is listed with two colour options, Olive Green and Glam White, via Vivo’s official online store and authorised retail outlets across India.
Update: The open sale will begin in India from August 7th, 2025.
