A new, or rather a rebrand of the Vivo Y50 smartphone, has now been launched in the Chinese market, called the Vivo Y37+ 5G.

So far, Vivo has launched multiple smartphones in China as rebranded versions of the Vivo Y50. And now the Vivo Y37+ 5G has also been added to the list, making it the 13th smartphone to be its rebranded version. The reason behind calling it a rebrand is not just because it looks like it, but also because the model number “V2443A” is the same as the Vivo Y50 5G. Coming to the specs, it has the same 6.74″ HD+ (1600 × 720 Pixels) 90Hz flat LCD display, powered by the Dimensity 6300 SoC featuring 8GB LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM + 8GB Memory Fusion RAM (Virtual RAM) and 256GB internal storage with support for a microSD card. Just like the Vivo Y50, it also runs on OriginOS 5 based on Android 15, so there is no upgrade here either.
At the rear, it has the same 13MP main sensor with AF (Auto Focus), while the front houses a 5MP selfie shooter with AF (Auto Focus). Adding more about the specs, the phone packs a 6000mAh battery with 44W fast wired charging support. And though it doesn’t support wireless charging, it does support wired reverse charging.
Looking at the connectivity options, it comes with Dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, 3.5mm jack, Type-C, and other navigational features like GPS, Beidou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and GNSS. Other features include a side fingerprint sensor, IP64-rated protection against dust/water and facial recognition.
Pricing and Availability
It has been launched in a single memory option of 8GB/256GB, which is priced at 1599 CNY (~₹21,304.21) and three colour options of Obsidian Black, Liuli Qing, and Golden Mountain under the Sun.
