After numerous leaks and rumours, Vivo has finally announced the Vivo Y31 Pro 5G in the Indian market. It is currently listed on the Vivo India official website, revealing all its specifications and features. However, pricing and availability details are still under wraps, as Vivo has not shared any information on this front.

Here is more to it.

Vivo Y31 Pro 5G Specs and Features

Starting with the display, it features a 6.72-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2408 × 1080 pixels, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and 1050 nits peak brightness (HBM). It offers a pixel density of 393 PPI and covers 83% NTSC colour gamut.

Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G processor, built on a 4nm process with an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.5 GHz. It is paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM (expandable by another 8GB through virtual RAM) and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The rear houses a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP bokeh sensor, paired with an LED flash. It supports features such as Night, Portrait, Pro, Panorama, and 4K video recording at 30fps. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.05 aperture. Additional camera functions include AI Erase, AI Photo Enhance, Live Photo, and Dynamic Light notifications.

It packs a 6500mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge support, capable of charging from 1% to 50% in around 40 minutes. Vivo claims up to 23.6 hours of video playback, 13.3 hours of navigation, or 12.9 hours of gaming on a single charge.

In terms of design, the Y31 Pro 5G sports an ultra-slim quad-curved back with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It measures 16.57 × 7.63 × 0.819 cm (Dreamy White) and weighs 208g, while the Mocha Brown variant is slightly slimmer and lighter at 0.809 cm and 204g. It also comes with military-grade certified durability (MIL-STD-810H tests), ensuring resistance to drops, shocks, and extreme environmental conditions. It offers dust resistance, shock resistance, water resistance, and can withstand extreme cold (-40°C) and heat (up to 75°C).

Additionally, it is IP64-rated for dust and splash resistance, with wet-hand and greasy-hand touch support, enabling smooth operation even with wet or oily fingers.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, USB 2.0, GPS, and OTG support. It also features an infrared blaster, while NFC and FM radio are not supported. The Y31 Pro 5G also integrates AI SuperLink technology, which boosts signal performance with a 51% improvement in downlink reception sensitivity and a 31% increase in uplink power.

The Vivo Y31 Pro 5G ships with Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15 and comes with a protective case, screen protector, charger, and USB cable in the box.

And looking at the specs, as tipped, this is just a rebranded Vivo T4x 5G, which was launched in March this year in India.

Pricing and Availability

Pricing and availability are yet to be officially announced by Vivo. However, an earlier leak suggested that the 8GB/128GB variant could be priced at ₹18,999, while the 8GB/256GB variant may retail at ₹20,999. Now, if we compare this with the Vivo T4x 5G, the 8GB/128GB variant was launched at ₹14,999 without offers. So, most likely, the Y31 Pro 5G will also be available at a similar price, but that is yet to be confirmed by Vivo.
