Vivo launches Y50s and Y50e in China with 6.74″ HD+ LCD display, Dimensity 6300 SoC, and more
Vivo has launched two new smartphones in its home market of China, the vivo Y50s 5G and the vivo Y50e 5G. As previously reported, both devices are basically rebranded versions of the vivo Y50 5G.

Vivo Y50s and Vivo Y50e Specs and Features
Despite carrying different names, both the vivo Y50s 5G and vivo Y50e 5G share the same model number as the vivo Y50 5G. The main difference between the two is charging support. The vivo Y50s 5G offers 44W wired charging (same as the Y50 5G China), while the vivo Y50e 5G supports only 15W wired charging.
Both the vivo Y50s 5G and vivo Y50e 5G feature a 6.74″ HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 180Hz touch sampling, 260 PPI pixel density, a 1500:1 contrast ratio, 16.7 million colours, and 70% NTSC colour coverage, using a flat screen design.
Under the hood, both smartphones have the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, paired with a Mali-G57 GPU. Both models run OriginOS 5 based on Android 15 and come with 6GB of LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM, while storage differs between the two, with the Y50s 5G offering 256GB of faster UFS 2.2 storage and the Y50e 5G providing 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.
Both devices are equipped with a single 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and autofocus, alongside a 5MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture and full-focus support, with both front and rear cameras capable of recording videos at up to 1080p resolution.
The smartphones are backed by a large 6000mAh single-cell battery with a rated capacity of 5870mAh. Charging speeds differ between the two models, with the vivo Y50s 5G supporting 44W FlashCharge and the vivo Y50e 5G limited to 15W charging. Both devices also support OTG reverse charging.
Connectivity options on both smartphones include dual nano-SIM support with dual-SIM dual-standby functionality, 5G SA support, 4G, 3G, and 2G network compatibility, Wi-Fi with MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port, while a 3.5mm headphone jack is also present.
For security, both phones offer a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and facial recognition. Additional features include comprehensive GNSS support, an infrared remote control, and a wide range of supported audio codecs such as AAC, aptX, aptX HD, and LDAC. Both devices share the same physical design, measuring 167.30 × 76.95 × 8.19mm and weighing 204g.
Pricing and Availability
Both smartphones are available in three colour options, Diamond Black, Sky Blue, and Platinum.
The vivo Y50s 5G is offered in three memory variants. The 6GB/256GB model is priced at CNY 1799, the 8GB/256GB variant costs CNY 1999, and the 12GB/256GB model is priced at CNY 2299.
The vivo Y50e 5G is available in a single configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, priced at CNY 1499.
