Pre-booking for the Tecno Camon 50 Series, which includes the Tecno Camon 50 and Tecno Camon 50 Pro, is now available in Uganda. Along with this, Tecno has a dedicated microsite on its Uganda website, which reveals the design of both smartphones and confirms some key specs. However, the microsite does not mention whether the listed models are the 5G or 4G variants. According to the official promotional material, pre-booking for the Tecno Camon 50 series started on February 2nd, with the Camon 50’s pre-booking remaining open until February 15th, while the Tecno Camon 50 Pro will remain available until February 22nd. For both smartphones, the final payment verification is scheduled to be completed by February 28th.

Tecno Camon 50 Series – Design and Pre-Booking Details
Starting with the design, the microsite shows the design of both models. In the upper-left-hand corner of the rear panel of the Tecno Camon 50 Pro is a pill-shaped camera module that is vertically aligned, with three circular camera sensors stacked one below the other. A tiny red accent dot, an extra sensor, and an LED flash are located next to the lenses, outside the camera module. It appears to have a dual finish design, with the area around the camera contour showing a matte finish, and the other half of the phone showing a glossy finish.
In comparison, the Tecno Camon 50 has a similar design, but with a flat rear panel and curved edges. Dark green is the colour option shown for the Camon 50, in a poster. Meanwhile, the Camon 50 Pro comes in a variety of colours, including light blue, off-white, black, green, purple, and glossy teal, according to the website.
Moving on to the specifications, the microsite reveals that the Camon 50 Series phones will have a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C Ultra Night Camera capable of up to 20X zoom. Both variants feature a 32MP selfie camera on the front. Other camera-related features include auto zoom, live photo capturing, and an enhanced best-moment option.
Both phones are teased to come with AI Mindhub, which includes features such as One-Tap Flash Memo for quickly saving ideas and to-do lists. It also offers an art gallery feature, image-to-video creation, and an upgraded ELLA voice assistant with support for alarm broadcasts and WhatsApp notifications. In addition to this, the devices are listed with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810 certification, Dolby Atmos speakers, and Corning Gorilla protection.
In terms of availability, the Tecno Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro are both listed in a single memory option of 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Those who pre-book the smartphones will receive a complimentary audio accessory. Buyers will also receive a free gift with their deposit, choosing between a football or a crossbody bag, as well as a UGX 50,000 balance payback.
The CAMON 50 is listed with a price tag of UGX 1,090,000 (~₹27,846.40), while the CAMON 50 Pro is listed at UGX 1,190,000 (~₹30,401.12). It is mentioned that a deposit of UGX 50,000 is required to pre-book either of the smartphones. Also, unlike the colour options shown on the promotional poster, the pre-order page lists the Tecno Camon 50 in black, off-white, and glossy teal.
