Samsung Officially Unveils its Galaxy Z TriFold, Featuring Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, 10″ Dynamic AMOLED 2x Expandable Display, and More: Sale Starting Next Week

The South Korean tech giant – Samsung has now officially unveiled its latest Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone in the global market (earlier than expected), and it is built on top of the brand’s decade-long legacy in the field of foldable devices. Advanced folding technologies, thin form factor, ultra performance, and the large expandable display are projected to be its key aspects.

Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold – Officially Unveiled in the Global Market

Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold is powered by the previous Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip (over-clocked version*), and it runs on the latest Android 16 based One UI 8 custom skin. Moreover, many Galaxy AI features have also been integrated onto the device. For its display, a 6.5″ Dynamic AMOLED 2x cover display is given, supporting 2520 x 1080 pixels resolution (FHD+), 1~120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 2600 nits peak brightness rate. Notably, there is also a large expandable 10″ Dynamic AMOLED 2x inner display which supports 2160 x 1584 pixels resolution (QXGA+), 1~120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 1600 nits peak brightness.

On the camera side, a 200MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera (3x optical zoom, 30x digital zoom) have been given at the rear. Two 10MP selfie cameras have also been added both on the cover (centrally placed) and inner (towards the right) displays too, within punch-hole units. In terms of the battery, it has a total capacity of 5600 mAh (three cell battery), and supports charging capabilities like 45W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and wireless charging.

Other key specs of the device include the titanium hinge, advanced armor aluminum frame, rear ceramic fiber-reinforced polymer, Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 (front) + Ceramic-Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (back) protection, Samsung DeX, 5G network, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Samsung Knox + Knox Vault, IP48-rated body, 3.9~4.2mm unfolded thickness, 12.9mm folded thickness, and 309 gm weight. To note, 16GB RAM, 512GB/1TB internal storage, up to two nano SIMs, multi eSIM, and Crafted Black color choice are a few of its other notable aspects.

About its availability details, it will be brought out on the 12th of December 2025 in the South Korean market for purchase, following which it will also be made available in China, Taiwan, Singapore, UAE, and also in the US. As per the official press release, the device will be offered via select retail stores in the mentioned countries. Additionally, benefits like 6-month free Google AI Pro subscription (Veo 3, 2TB cloud storage, and more) and exclusive display repair cost (50% discount for one time) are also announced for the latest device.
