Back in January 2024, Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 series in India. The Galaxy S24 and S24+ were powered by the Exynos 2400 SoC, while the Ultra variant featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, in the US market, both the S24 and S24+ came equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Now, Samsung is bringing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variant of the Galaxy S24 to the Indian market.
Its Flipkart microsite is now live, showcasing the specifications and features. However, it does not mention the availability date. The product page lists a single RAM option of 8GB, paired with two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB. The colour options available are Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, Marble Gray, and Onyx Black. The device is currently listed at ₹74,999, though it is expected to go on sale during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days event. With promotional offers, the final price is likely to be lower than the listed amount.

In terms of specifications, unlike the Exynos 2400 variant, which came with a 4,000mAh battery, the Snapdragon variant is equipped with a larger 4,900mAh battery. According to the microsite, this provides up to 29 hours of video playback or 88 hours of non-stop music. Interestingly, the Exynos 2400 variant is advertised with the same 28 hours of video playback or 72 hours of music. Other than this difference, both the Exynos and Snapdragon variants carry similar specifications.
It will also be interesting to see what update policy Samsung applies to the Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy S24 in India.
