Samsung Galaxy M17 5G with 6.7″ Full HD+ AMOLED Display, Exynos 1330 SoC, 6 Major OS Upgrades Launched in India
As confirmed earlier, Samsung has launched the Galaxy M17 5G in the Indian market. Though the name is new, under the hood, it carries similar specifications to the Galaxy F17 5G, which was also launched in India last month.

Starting with the screen, it comes with a 6.77″ Full HD+ sAMOLED display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate and 1100 nits peak brightness. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and the phone also carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Exynos 1330 octa-core processor, clocked at up to 2.4GHz and paired with an ARM Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 on top, and it comes with support for 6 OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates.
It features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. The rear camera supports modes such as Night, Panorama, Portrait, Pro, Macro, Slow Motion, and Hyperlapse, along with FHD video recording at 30fps. On the front, there’s a 13MP selfie camera with fixed focus for clear and detailed captures.
It packs a 5000mAh Li-ion battery with support for 25W fast charging. In terms of design, it has a slim profile measuring just 7.5mm in thickness and weighing 192g.
The Galaxy M17 5G comes with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card using a hybrid SIM slot. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G VoLTE, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C, NFC, and GPS with Google Maps support.
Security and convenience are enhanced with a fingerprint sensor, face unlock, and multiple sensors, including an accelerometer, gyro, geomagnetic sensor, light sensor, and virtual proximity sensing. Additional features include Circle to Search with Google, built-in Gemini Live for real-time AI assistance, Samsung Wallet with Tap and Pay, Quick Share, Smart Switch, and support for OTG.
Pricing and Availability
Unlike the Galaxy F17 5G, the Galaxy M17 5G has been launched with three memory options:
- 4GB + 128GB – ₹12,499
- 6GB + 128GB – ₹13,999
- 8GB + 128GB – ₹15,499
Regarding its availability, it will go on sale from October 13 via Samsung India, Amazon India, and other major retailers.
Samsung is offering two colour options: Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black.
