Redmi Turbo 5 series pre-booking now live, with launch confirmed in China for January 29th

Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 5 series will launch in China on January 29th at 7 p.m. China time. The company had earlier teased only the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, but it has now officially revealed that the vanilla Redmi Turbo 5 will also debut alongside the Max model.

Redmi Turbo 5 Max
Redmi had initially been teasing only the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. Official posts from the brand described it as Redmi’s most “flagship-quality performance” phone so far, featuring a CNC metal frame, rounded corners, and a fiberglass back panel. The company also highlighted a dual-ring turbine LED strip design that offers different lighting effects for different scenarios. Redmi has confirmed that the device will debut in a new colour option called “Sunshine Orange”.

Official images of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max show a clean rear design in the Sunshine Orange finish, with a smooth, matte-style texture. The back panel features a pill-shaped camera deco with two large circular camera rings arranged vertically in the top-left corner. Alongside the cameras, there are two separate circular cutouts for the dual LED flash. The wording “OIS camera” is visibly printed near the camera area.
Earlier, Redmi had also officially confirmed that the Turbo 5 Max will pack a 9,000mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging. The company announced a five-year battery health guarantee in China, offering a free replacement if battery health drops below 80 percent within that period. Redmi has further confirmed that the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s and will fall in the CNY 2.5K price range.

Redmi has now also officially revealed the vanilla Redmi Turbo 5. Wei Siqi (@Cici_老魏), General Manager of Xiaomi China Marketing Department, shared (via iTHomes) official images of the device and confirmed that it features a 6.59″ “golden mid-size” display, a metal frame, and a glass back panel. The phone will be available in a colour called “Auspicious Cloud White”.
The official images show that the back of the Redmi Turbo 5 is predominantly white, with red accents around the power button, camera rings, and the Redmi logo. These details give the device a distinctive visual identity while keeping the overall look clean.
Before the name was officially confirmed, the Redmi Turbo 5 had appeared on Geekbench and 3C certification under the model number 2511FRT34C. The Geekbench listing revealed testing with a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, 12GB RAM, and Android 16, while the 3C certification had indicated support for 100W fast charging.
Pre-booking for the Redmi Turbo 5 series is already live in China on Xiaomi’s official website, JD.com, and Tmall. As part of the offer, customers can secure their pre-order for free and add a one-year extended warranty for just 0.01 yuan.
