Redmi Pad 2 Pro and Redmi Buds 8 Pro launching alongside Redmi Turbo 5 Max in China this month

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi had already revealed that the Redmi Turbo 5 Max will launch in January itself, though an exact date is still missing. Now, a new teaser posted on Weibo and Xiaomi China website confirms that not only the Redmi Turbo 5 Max but also the Redmi Pad 2 Pro and Redmi Buds 8 Pro will be launched.
Here is more to it.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro China launch confirmed
Redmi has launched the Redmi Pad 2 Pro both in India and globally. While in India, it was introduced in Wi-Fi only and 5G variants, the global variant also included a matte finish option as well. And now, it is going to be launched in China soon. As per the teaser posted by Redmi on Weibo, it is confirmed that the device will launch alongside the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. Its microsite is now live on the Xiaomi China website with a tagline “Large screen, long battery life, ideal for study and productivity” (translated from Chinese to English), on which pre-reservation has also started.

At the moment, the teaser does not reveal what all variants will be coming to China, but it does reveal the colour options of Silver and Lavender Purple. Since it has already been launched globally, it is likely to bring the same spec sheet as that of the global variant.
Redmi Buds 8 Pro China Launch Confirmed
The teaser shows the design and the colour options for the Redmi Buds 8 Pro, and just like the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, its microsite is also live on the Xiaomi China website, and pre-reservation is also open. Though in today’s teaser, it does not reveal any specifications as such, it does confirm the colour options it is going to come in, which are White, Light bluish-grey (or icy blue / steel blue), and Black. Further on the microsite, it mentions, “Intelligent adaptive noise cancellation, immersive three-frequency audio experience” (translated from Chinese to English).

The earbuds feature an in-ear design with silicone tips and short stems. Redmi branding is present on the stems, and the earbuds appear to carry a matte finish. The charging case has a rounded rectangular shape with smooth edges and a compact size. A small LED indicator is placed on the front of the case.
Other than this, its global variant was also spotted on the FCC and the UAE’s TDRA certification with the model number “M2535E1”, with the FCC confirming that the charging case will come with 10W fast charging support.
More details are expected to be available as the official launch date gets announced soon.
