Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has launched a new variant in the Redmi Note 14 series, called the Redmi Note 14 SE. Before officially revealing the name, Redmi had teased the arrival of two new smartphones for the Indian market, creating quite a bit of hype. However, once the name and design were revealed, it became clear that the “SE” variant is nearly identical to the standard Redmi Note 14 5G in both specifications and appearance.
Additionally, another Redmi smartphone has appeared with a “Coming Soon” label, though its name hasn’t been disclosed yet. Based on the teaser, it’s expected to feature a larger battery, but further details are yet to be confirmed.
Redmi Note 14 SE specs and Features
The smartphone features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 2100 nits peak brightness, and 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, making it one of the segment’s brightest and toughest AMOLED panels. Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset, making its global debut, paired with 6GB of RAM (expandable up to 8GB via virtual RAM) and 128GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 15, based on Xiaomi’s HyperOS.
On the back, the Note 14 SE sports a triple camera setup, consisting of a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies, it houses a 20MP front-facing camera. The camera app supports features like Dynamic Shots, Motion Tracking Focus, Pro Mode, Dual Video, and more. Audio is another highlight, with dual stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos, claiming to be the segment’s loudest. An in-display fingerprint sensor handles security, and the device is IP64-rated for dust and water resistance.
Connectivity options include dual 5G SIM support, WiFi 5 (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C, and an IR blaster. The phone packs a 5110mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It has a slim design at 7.99mm and weighs 190g.
