Back in April 2025, Redmi officially introduced its mid-range device, Redmi A5, in the Indian market. And now the company has introduced the Redmi A5 Airtel exclusive edition in the country.
Earlier, POCO has been introducing its Airtel Exclusive edition smartphones- POCO M6 5G locked with an Airtel Prepaid connection, POCO C51 Airtel Special variant, POCO C61 Airtel Special variant, POCO C71 Airtel Special variant, and POCO M7 5G Airtel Exclusive edition. After these POCO Airtel Special Edition devices, the Redmi A5 Airtel Exclusive Edition has made its debut in India.
Redmi A5 Airtel Exclusive Edition
The device will be unlocked with an Airtel Prepaid SIM with a recharge of Rs 299 or above, Truly Unlimited Plans. You need to recharge the SIM for 18 months.
Consumers purchasing this exclusive device will get an additional 7.5% discount (up to Rs 750 off) and free 50GB data. Redmi A5 Airtel Exclusive edition comes in a single storage option, 3/64GB priced at Rs 5,999. It comes in Jaisalmer gold, Just Black, and Pondicherry Blue color options. It is available via Flipkart.
Other than the single storage option and Airtel exclusivity, the smartphone comes with specs similar to those of the standard variant of Redmi A5.

It runs on Android 15 OS, and the company will provide 2 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates. The device packs a 32MP AI Dual camera and an 8MP front camera. It is backed by a 5200 mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging.
