Redmi 15R 5G with 6.9″ LCD Display, Dimensity 6300 SoC, Upto 12GB RAM launched in China

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has officially launched the Redmi 15R 5G in China as the successor to the Redmi 14R 5G. The smartphone’s specifications had already surfaced earlier through a listing on the China Telecom website.

The Redmi 15R 5G measures 171.56 × 79.47 × 7.99mm and weighs 205g, offering a slim design despite housing a large battery. It features a 6.9-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The screen delivers 810 nits peak brightness (HBM) with a 1200:1 contrast ratio and comes with TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free viewing, and circadian-friendly use. It also supports DC dimming and upgraded Wet Touch 2.0 technology, allowing smooth operation even with wet or oily hands.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset built on a 6nm process, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It is available in multiple configurations, including 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 custom skin based on Android 15.

In terms of cameras, the device comes with a 13MP primary rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. While the camera setup is simple, it covers essential photography needs.

A key highlight of the Redmi 15R 5G is its massive 6000mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. Xiaomi claims that the battery can last up to 1.9 days on a single charge and is designed for a lifespan of four years. The device also features a smart charging management system that learns daily charging habits and intelligently adjusts voltage and current to slow down battery aging.

For durability, the Redmi 15R 5G has undergone multiple quality tests, including 50,000 fingerprint press tests and 300 extreme drop tests. It also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, making it more reliable for daily use.

And lastly, it offers stereo speakers with a 200% ultra-loud volume mode and Hi-Res Audio certification for wired playback. It retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, making it convenient for wired audio users.

Pricing and Availability

The Redmi 15R 5G is available in four colour options — Twilight Purple, Lime Green, Shadow Black, and Cloud White. In China, the pricing starts at CNY 1,099 for the 4GB + 128GB model, followed by CNY 1,599 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 128GB option is priced at CNY 1,699, while the 8GB + 256GB model comes in at CNY 1,899. The top-end 12GB + 256GB configuration is priced at CNY 2,299.
