Earlier, Redmi had teased the launch of a new smartphone in India, and at that time, its moniker wasn’t known. But now, Redmi has not only revealed that it is the Redmi 15 5G, but also confirmed the launch date, specs, and design via its microsite, which is live on the Redmi India website.

Here is more to it.

Redmi 15A 5G – Specs revealed via microsite

The Redmi 15A 5G has now officially been teased to launch in India with the tagline “The Real Hero” on March 27th, 2026. Currently, its microsite is only live on the Redmi India website, which also reveals some key specs about this smartphone.

The listing confirms three colour choices of black, blue, and lavender, a 6300mAh battery, and a 120Hz display. Further, it reveals that the device will be powered by an octa-core 5G processor, but it doesn’t mention which one it is. Along with this, the microsite also mentions a dual rear AI camera, though it doesn’t specify the camera details. However, the engravings on the camera deco show “32MP AI Camera”.

Talking more about the camera deco, it is slightly raised from the rear, sits in the top-left corner, and is square with rounded sides. Inside, two large circular cutouts can be seen stacked one above the other, with the LED flash placed next to the first one. The rear also appears to have a glass finish.

At the end of the page, it shows the tagline “hero durability”, hinting that it will likely come with an IP rating as well. Currently, it is not known whether it will launch via Flipkart or Amazon India, but as the launch date has now been announced, that should also be revealed soon.

Just to add, at the extreme bottom of the page, the Make in India logo is also visible, hinting that it will be made in India.
