Realme Neo 8 confirmed to feature Samsung M14 165Hz flat display, 6500 nits local peak brightness and Touch Display Synchronisation
The Chinese manufacturer Realme will be introducing its all-new Realme Neo 8 smartphone next week in its home country, China. The brand has already started teasing the features of this device, and today it has revealed the display features of the Realme Neo 8.
Realme Neo 8 Series: Display features revealed
The Realme Neo 8 is equipped with Samsung Display’s latest M14 flagship luminescent material that improves the screen luminous efficiency by 26%. The display offers 6500 nits local peak brightness, supports 3800 nits sunlight display, full brightness DC dimming, manual peak brightness of 1000 nits, and 103% P3 colour gamut. With a T95 brightness decay test results of up to 1500 hours, the screen lifespan is improved by 50%.

The power consumption is reduced by 16% when compared to 144Hz screens. The five major shooting mobile games support native 165fps (shooting, MOBA, racing, fighting, and rhythm games), while over 30 popular mobile games also natively support 165fps. Five leading first-person shooter games- Delta Force, CrossFire: Gunfight King, Peacekeeper Elite, Dark Zone, and Call of Duty Mobile- all support native 165 fps.
The device supports native 144 fps high frame rate mode in Valorant: Source Operation, native 144 fps+ ultra-high graphics concurrent mode in popular MOBA mobile games, and native 120 fps+ 1.5K super resolution experience in large open-world games and ultra-heavy turn-based mobile games.
It features a customised Magic Touch chip with a 3800Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and a 360Hz ten-finger touch sampling rate. The flagship-level touch display synchronisation technology ensures smooth, stable, and responsive clicks and swipes, with an 8ms improvement in touch response. In MOBA games, FPS games, rhythm games, and other three-, four-, and five-finger scenarios, it delivers a top-tier touch responsiveness experience.
Furthermore, the device features a new generation of Green Field Eye Protection system, which ensures safe and worry-free screen use all day long, with SVM control as low as 0.05. It is certified by TUV Rheinland for flicker-free operation. It supports AI eye protection for all scenarios and AI eye protection for games, automatically recognises eye fatigue, actively fine-tunes the screen colour temperature, and reminds users to take breaks.
The 165Hz refresh rate increases the number of frames per second by 45, the frame rate per second by 27% and improves responsiveness by 12%. The device includes an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor, crystal-coated glass, elegant, large, rounded corners, and equal bezels on the front.
