Realme GT 8 Pro Smartphone RICOH GR-Powered Camera Capabilities Teased Following the Imaging Strategic Partnership Launch Conference

Realme’s GT 8 series is debuting this month (October 2025) in the Chinese market and its pre-reservation had gone live in the country a few days back. Today, the Realme x Ricoh Imaging Strategic Partnership Launch Conference was held in China and following which the brand has officially teased the camera specs and capabilities of the upcoming Realme GT 8 Pro smartphone via its Weibo handle.

Here’s more about the update below.

Realme GT 8 Pro – Teased Camera Specs

Via the newly-shared teaser updates, the Realme GT 8 Pro smartphone is revealed to offer five different camera watermarks/frames (with ‘Realme GT 8 Pro’ and ‘Camera powered by Ricoh GR’ brandings). The Ricoh GR imaging system will also be bringing enhanced optics, design, tone (Ricoh Blue/Ricoh Green), and customization options (60 modes). An intuitive algorithm engine is also part of it, providing RAW domain processing, 10-bit color depth, HDR super-sensing, and film-tone algorithm.

For an improved street photography experience, swipe to launch (0.6s to Ricoh GR mode and Ricoh GR classic shutter styles), classic focal lengths of 28mm and 40mm (for humanistic and observation shots), View Finder mode (immersive framing mode), and Snap Focus mode (instant capture, no focus needed) have also been given. After conducting around 1,000 tests, several updates have been made and these include optimization of shutter sound, adjustment of graininess in high-contrast B&W, adjustment of the level gauge position, optimization of color gradient scenes, adjustment of shutter animation, solving the problem of enlarged jagged edges, alignment of viewfinder icon position, darkening of the preview interface in long exposure mode, darkening of metering in dead leaf scenes, translation of icon entries, solving the problem of eliminating white edges of green plants in positive film mode, solving the problem of shadow layering in negative film mode, and more.

Realme’s and Ricoh GR’s collaboration is a result of four years of research (starting with the Realme GT Master Explorer Edition). The recently-teased anti-glare main camera is also certified by Ricoh GR. Speaking more, the 7P high-transmittance lens has five layers of anti-reflection coating and 0.2% reduced reflectivity. Its ultra-clear lens glass also offers double-layer AR coating and 97% light transmittance. A deep-absorption Blue glass filter also blocks 30% of unwanted infrared light. With the miniaturized lens module, the lens height has also been reduced by 11%.
