Realme 16 Pro 5G Series Design Officially Revealed; Colour Options, 3 Major OS Upgrades, Flipkart Availability Confirmed

Realme has already started dropping teasers for the upcoming Realme 16 Pro 5G series for the Indian market. While Realme hasn’t revealed the exact launch date yet, rumours claim that it will launch on January 6th, 2026. Realme has also shared a glimpse of the camera module design in a marketing video. Now, it has revealed the complete design of the upcoming smartphone series, along with the colour options, via a Flipkart microsite, confirming that the launch will take place through Flipkart.

The teaser on the Flipkart microsite showcases four colour options: Master Gold, Master Grey, and two India-exclusive colours—Camellia Pink (inspired by Indian festive flowers for special moments) and Orchid Purple (inspired by Indian festive flowers and celebrations). The Master Gold and Master Grey variants feature a vegan leather finish on the rear, while the two India-exclusive colours come with a matte finish.

The Flipkart microsite has now revealed the rear design of the smartphone. The camera module can be seen positioned in the top-left corner, featuring a square-shaped layout with rounded edges, which is slightly raised from the body. The upper section houses a vertical pill-shaped module containing two camera lenses, while the lower section includes two circular cutouts—one for a camera sensor and the other for a circular LED flash. The Realme branding is also visible at the bottom of the Camera Module towards the right edge of the smartphone.

Among the teased finishes, the Master Gold variant stands out with a jewellery-inspired metallic mirror texture, giving the phone a premium look. The device also appears ultra-slim, suggesting a comfortable in-hand feel.

The design of the Realme 16 Pro 5G series has been crafted by world-renowned designer Naoto Fukasawa. Speaking about the concept, he said, “My design philosophy was to create a device that becomes a quiet anchor in the city’s endless motion—offering a design that appeals to the youth with a comfort that feels natural.”

The listing also confirms that the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G will be powered by a Snapdragon chipset, although the exact chipset has not been disclosed yet. As highlighted on the microsite, the phone places a strong emphasis on portrait photography, offering consistent detail from 1x to 10x zoom. The new LumaColor algorithm improves colour accuracy, especially in low-light conditions, and supports intelligent colour-brightness matching along with 16-bit RAW processing. This camera system is also backed by TÜV Rheinland certification.

Additionally, the microsite mentions AI Edit Genie 2.0, which introduces voice-based editing features and new AI filters. It also confirms the Realme 16 Pro 5G Series will run Realme UI 7 based on Android 16 out of the box, with a promised three years of OS updates and four years of security patches.

As for memory options, Tipster Abhishek Yadav had revealed that the Realme 16 Pro 5G Series will come in 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB. Meanwhile, the Realme 16 Pro 5G is tipped to arrive in Pebble Grey, Master Gold, and Orchid Purple, while the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is likely to be offered in Master Grey, Master Gold, and Camellia Pink.
