Just recently, the key specifications of the Realme 16 5G were revealed via the Flipkart and Realme India microsites, and now, the brand has officially confirmed the launch date of the device for the Indian market as well.

Realme 16 5G – India Launch Date Confirmed
As per the updated Flipkart and Realme India microsites, the Realme 16 5G is scheduled to launch in India on the 2nd of April 2026 at 12 PM. With this, the brand has now officially confirmed the launch timeline of its upcoming smartphone.
As previously revealed, the Realme 16 5G is claimed to feature India’s first camera bar design with a selfie mirror. Despite having a slim profile of just 8.1mm, the smartphone is said to pack a large 7000mAh battery, along with support for 60W wired fast charging and still weigh around 183g.
Coming to the display, the device will sport a 6.57-inch panel that offers up to 4200 nits peak brightness, 2160Hz PWM dimming, 1.07 billion colours, and a 3000Hz instantaneous sampling rate. Additionally, the smartphone is claimed to deliver up to 300% volume output. It is said to withstand submersion in water up to 0.5m for 60 days, along with resistance to temperatures of up to 80 degrees.
For thermal management, the device is equipped with a 6050mm² AirFlow vapour chamber. This smartphone will run on Realme UI 7 based on the Android 16 operating system. Along with this, the brand has also promised 3 major OS upgrades along with 4 years of security updates.
In related news, the Realme 16 5G has already been launched in the Vietnamese market, and the Indian variant will also come with the same spec sheet, as per what has been revealed so far.
