Realme has now officially confirmed the launch date for the Realme 16 5G series for the Vietnamese market. According to the teaser image shared on Realme Vietnam’s official social media channels, both the Realme 16 5G and Realme 16 Pro 5G will launch on 29 January 2026 at 15:00 (local time).

Earlier, we had spotted the Realme 16 5G on the Vietnamese retailer thegioididong, which revealed the colour options as well as key specifications. Now, with the official teaser out, the launch date has been confirmed.
Alongside the standard Realme 16 5G, the Realme 16 Pro 5G, which was recently launched in India, will also debut in Vietnam. However, as per the teaser, only the Pro variant is confirmed for the Vietnamese market, while the Pro+ model does not appear to be launching there (at least for now).
Interestingly, while the teaser mentions a 29th January launch, the thegioididong listing for the Realme 16 5G states the release time as 02/2026, suggesting that open sales could begin in February.
On the same thegioididong website, the Realme 16 Pro 5G is also listed, but currently shows only a black colour option, leaving it unclear whether more colours will be introduced at launch.
According to the listing, the Realme 16 5G will run Android 16 and will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is said to feature a 6.57-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with up to 4,500 nits peak brightness and AGC DT-Star D+ protection. The phone will reportedly offer a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup, a 50MP front camera, and a unique rear selfie mirror integrated into the camera module. It is also listed with a large 7,000mAh battery supporting 60W fast charging (with charger included), along with flagship-grade durability ratings including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. Additional features include 5G support, NFC, IR blaster, and black and white colour options.
As for the Realme 16 Pro 5G, the Vietnamese variant is expected to come with specifications similar to the Indian variant. The thegioididong listing currently only shows the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, but since this is still an early listing, it would be better to wait for the official launch to confirm all variants.
