Poco X8 Pro Series Officially Confirmed to Launch with the Dimensity 8500 Ultra and Dimensity 9500s

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco has already started teasing the launch of the upcoming Poco X8 Pro series for both India and global markets. Moving ahead, the company has now confirmed, via its global X handle, the chipsets for the series.
Here is more about it.
Poco X8 Pro Series – Chipset Confirmed
In a post on X, Poco Global mentioned, “MediaTek Latest Flagship and Premium Chipsets Global Debut in POCO X Pro Series. Coming soon!”, which confirms that the Poco X8 Pro series will mark the global debut of the Dimensity 8500 Ultra and Dimensity 9500s chipsets.

Although it didn’t mention the exact moniker, it is already known that the Dimensity 8500 Ultra and Dimensity 9500s will power the Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max, respectively.
Both smartphones are essentially rebrands of the Redmi Turbo 5 series launched in China in the last week of January. However, although the Poco X8 Pro Max (expected rebrand of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max) will come with the Dimensity 9500s, the X8 Pro (expected rebrand of the Redmi Turbo 5) will use the Dimensity 8500 Ultra. In China, the Redmi Turbo 5 came with the Dimensity 8500, whereas the Poco X8 Pro will feature an Ultra badging added to the chipset name. This would mean that there might be some software-level optimisation, which we can expect.
Also, Poco will launch the X8 Pro Iron Man Edition smartphone in some markets, and it is likely that it may happen during the Poco X8 Pro series launch. As far as the launch is concerned, it will likely happen this very same month; however, an exact date is yet to be announced.
