Poco X8 Pro Max’s India Variant to Feature Bigger Battery as Poco Reveals X8 Pro Series Battery Specs for Indian and Global Markets

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco has now officially confirmed the battery specifications for the upcoming Poco X8 Pro Series for both the Indian and global markets, ahead of its scheduled launch on March 17th.

Poco X8 Pro Series – Battery/Charging Specs Revealed

Starting with the global variant, the Poco X8 Pro is revealed to come with a 6500mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging support. Meanwhile, the Poco X8 Pro Max is confirmed to offer a bigger 8500mAh battery. As per Poco Lab’s internal investigation, the Poco X8 Pro Max is claimed to deliver around 2 days of battery backup. Poco also claims that 80% of the X8 Pro Max’s battery capacity will be retained even after 1,600 complete charge cycles, which corresponds to over 6 years of usage. However, the company has not revealed the charging specifications for the X8 Pro Max’s global model yet.

Moving on to the Indian variant, the specs listed on the Flipkart microsite reveal more detailed information about the battery and charging specifications for both models compared to the global versions. According to the microsite, the Poco X8 Pro will feature the same 6500mAh battery capacity and 100W fast charging support as the global variant. Additionally, Poco confirms that the battery has been tested for extreme cold temperatures, offers up to 5 years of battery durability, and can deliver 2+ days of battery life under normal usage.

Speaking further about the battery and charging capabilities, the microsite also claims that the phone can provide up to 52 hours of non-stop 5G calling or over 12 days of standby time. With the 100W fast charging support, Poco claims that users can get a full day of charge in just 16 minutes. Other listed features include smart charging, PPS charging, and 27W reverse wired charging support.

Compared to the 8500mAh battery confirmed for the X8 Pro Max’s global variant, the Indian variant will offer a bigger 9,000mAh battery. With this larger battery, Poco claims the device can deliver up to 3.5+ days of non-stop 5G calling. Apart from this, the rest of the features remain similar to the X8 Pro (India), including 6 years of battery durability, testing under extreme cold temperatures, 100W fast wired charging support, smart charging, PPS charging, and 27W reverse wired charging support.
