POCO M8 5G Smartphone Flipkart Landing Page Confirms Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Processor, Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 Custom Skin, and More
Ahead of its launch that has been scheduled for next week in India, more updates concerning the POCO M8 5G smartphone have been dropped via its Flipkart landing page. Details pertaining to its processor, software, and more have now been revealed.

POCO M8 5G – To Use Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Processor and Run on Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 Custom Skin
As per the new details that have been shared, the POCO M8 5G smartphone will be breaking its cover with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor onboard, and it will be coupled with up to 16GB of RAM (8GB inbuilt + 8GB virtual). The device is also pointed out to have achieved 825K+ points overall performance score on the AnTuTu database, and this is claimed to be 83% higher when compared to its predecessor.
On the software side, the brand’s own Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 custom skin based on the Android 15 OS will be offered on the device out of the box, and it is promised to get 4 years of Android OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates. Notably, the Android 16-based HyperOS 3.0 custom skin is also said to soon arrive for the device.
Speaking more, the 6.77″ 3D curved display (supporting 3200nits peak brightness, 2392 x 1080 pixels resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate), 50MP AI camera system, SGS MIL-STD-810 certification, up to 1.7m drop resistance, anti-drop and scratch protection, IP66-rated dust and water protection, Wet Touch 2.0 technology, 7.35mm ultra-slim body, and 178gm feather-light total weight are its other teased/revealed specs and features. Black and Bluish Green color shades can also be expected for the upcoming device, along with up to 512GB of storage. Regarding the launch, it will be taking place on the 8th of January 2026 at 12PM in the India market.
